Who we are
AION is made by Siarhei Sheleh, who is responsible for the data described here (the “controller”). Contact: contact@sshlg.me.
Your diary stays on your iPhone
Everything you record in AION — check-ins, notes, symptoms, period days, programs, your answers during setup — is stored only on your iPhone, in its protected keychain, readable only while the phone is unlocked. There is no AION account and no cloud copy. We cannot see, read or recover your diary. You can export it or delete all of it at any time in Settings → Your data.
Apple Health
If you allow it, AION reads sleep analysis, step count, active energy and resting heart rate from Apple Health to show daily summaries beside your check-ins. These summaries are kept in the diary on your iPhone and are never sent to us or to anyone else, never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold. AION writes nothing to Apple Health.
Cycle and health information
Cycle dates, symptoms and wellbeing answers are health information. They never leave your phone: they are not included in analytics, crash reports or any other transmission.
Anonymous usage data and crash reports
With “Share anonymous usage data” on (Settings → Privacy; on by default, off with one switch), the app sends events about how the app is used — for example “onboarding step viewed”, “check-in saved”, “program started”, “plans shown” — with the app version, iOS version and language, to three services: analytics.sshlg.me, a server we run ourselves (open-source Aptabase), which has no user, device or install identifier; Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC), which uses a random app-instance identifier, with advertising features, IDFA and IDFV collection switched off, derives an approximate location (country and city) from the IP address, and records App Store purchase events (which plan, whether it completed — never payment details); and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC), which receives a report if the app crashes — the code location, the app and iOS version and the iPhone model — together with basic performance and session information such as app start time. No event contains anything you recorded: no answers, values, dates, notes, symptoms, cycle information or program choices. The data is not linked to you, not used for advertising or tracking across apps, and not sold. Turn the setting off and nothing more is sent; reports not yet sent are deleted. Usage data in Google Analytics is kept for 14 months.
Purchases
AION Plus is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. Whether you have AION Plus is checked on your iPhone with Apple’s StoreKit.
Notifications
The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your iPhone. No push service, token or server is involved, and the reminder never shows what you recorded.
No tracking, no advertising
AION contains no advertising SDK and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Website
This site (getaion.app) uses Google Analytics only if you choose “Allow” in the banner, to count visits to its pages; advertising signals are always off. Your choice is stored in your browser. If you choose “No thanks”, no analytics cookie is set. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver it securely.
Children
AION is made for adults and is not directed to children under 16.
Your rights
Because your diary never leaves your phone, you control it directly: export or delete it in the app. For analytics, which are not linked to you, we cannot single out your data; you can stop it with the Settings switch. You can contact us at contact@sshlg.me with any request or question about your data, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
